I’m assuming you clicked on here by accident since there’s plenty of recipes and reviews that are much more insightful, but here you’ll find our tragic backstories.

The beauty and brains behind this operation, she’s the mastermind who started and named @HeadChefsInCHI. As the unlucky owner of the nicer iPhone, she’s also been crowned our #1 photographer. A true Head Chef in every sense of life. Maybe, if we’re lucky, she’ll bless us with a lifestyle blog too? Fingers crossed!

What’s left after the beauty and brains are taken? Not much—but he is wielding ADHD like a superpower to keep this site running. Having a VIP OpenTable account doesn’t hurt either. Plus he enjoys cooking so that’s a pretty decent list to be running this particular blog. Just pray he doesn’t start a lifestyle blog.
What’s on here?
You’ll find our favorite recipes as well as reviews of all the awesome places we’ve had the chance to eat at. This thing is very laissez-faire so who knows what else we might add. This is just a couple who likes to cook and eat and wants a place to remember all of it.
How did this happen?
Blame it on Instagram—and our mildly obsessive love of food. We’ve been running @HeadChefsInCHI for a few years now, to inconsistently document all the amazing eats we come across, home cooked & otherwise. Plus there’s the recipe black hole that is saved Insta reels. So we thought, why not make a site with all the recipes WE like, minus the usual 45 min of exposition of how this dish cured your childhood trauma combined with our a̶s̶p̶i̶r̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ internationally recognized restaurant reviews. So we’re adding dishes from everywhere and anywhere—if it’s here, it’s 100% fire and totally doable.
Think of this as our personal cookbook/restaurant remembrance hub. It’s extremely not serious and has very little of the fluff of most food blogs. You’ll get like a paragraph max before getting to the recipe. Shit, we might even curse, it’s gonna be a made up as we go so don’t be shocked by anything.
