It’s garlic confit, not much to say. It’s amazing and should exist in every household in every universe.
INGREDIENTS
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 3 cups of olive oil (or enough to cover everything)
- 6 sprigs of thyme
- 3 sprigs of rosemary
STEPS
- Preheat oven at 250 & start boiling a pot of water
- Break apart the pieces of garlic
- Put the garlic cloves in a heatproof bowl and pour the boiling water over the top. Let sit for 5 mins then drain. Should peel a lot easier, thank god
- In an oven safe pan, put the garlic, thyme, rosemary. Fill with olive oil until all of the garlic is fully submerged. If you don’t that shit will burn and you’ve ruined everything
- Bake for 2 hours or until the garlic is looking browned af
- Allow to cool. Store in an airtight container or jar for several weeks in the fridge
- Now you have the holy grail of garlic & a beautifully spice olive oil, you’re welcome
